Stellar production! I’m amazed that a song can inspire such artistry, full of fascinating and beautiful imagery, as well as hidden meanings and symbolism (the gender-swapped Pieta was a real treat). The video is a testament to Heather Joi’s creative visualization and Erik's photographic expertise.
You must have enjoyed making this video, while being in the throes of new love and infatuation. I can't help but think that it is nice for both of you to have this video to keep as an heirloom; a witness to your youth, beauty, and talent. I enjoyed both the song and the video, but I would very much like to read the lyrics, and to know author's meaning so that I can better understand the symbolism used. I loved the baptism scene with Erik dressed in black, and Heather carrying the water pitcher (Two of Cups?). I was captivated by the ropes appearing as snakes. Bravo to all, and thank you for sharing.
Thanks Mary Ann, yeah there's a lot going on in this one! My write-up mentioned Five of Cups, but looking back I think the bar scene evolves through several "of cups" Tarot cards, ending on Five.
Maybe we can add the lyrics in written form. Our collaborators were indisposed at the time, but it may be worth it for us to get back with them and chat about their meaning and intentions.
Great read. Great song. Great short-film. Suffice to say it delivers and sustains a complelely transfixing visual verve that compels and genuinely deserves repeat viewings. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 to all the brilliant folks who conjured and channeled the creative forces that birthed such great art.

Crow Feathers
Do they bury crows
when they die?
He asked for a friend.
The grave diggers and their audience
were nonchalant
and seemed to move in time with the music.
What were they burying?
Did they give their sins to a sin eater
before they buried her?
She was beautiful
and one with the trees
and the grass
and the meadow came alive
as she glided across it.
Perhaps they were happy
to know that the burial
would hide their sins
from the world.
When she filled her jar with their sins
and sent it crashing down
on the ground,
her lack of remorse
was a judgment of their
lack of soul.
Her soul remained pure
until the end,
until she passed into the ether
without giving them an answer.
